IMPLEMENTATION OF INNOVATIONS IN THE BUSINESS PROCESSES OF A COMPANY RELATED TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AN INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO MECHANICAL PROCESSING OF PRODUCTS, WHICH IS AIMED AT THE PRODUCTION OF VARIOUS TYPES OF HOUSING, OVERSIZED ELEMENTS AND WELDED METALS
Abstract: In the first stage of the project “Development and implementation of a new technological approach in mechanical processing of hull, large-sized welded metal structures intended for shipbuilding and the energy sector – Ship stabilizer housing, Stator box, Frame” - the tasks and activities are developed in phase two – “Analysis of
the existing mechanical processing technology” and in phase three – “Development of a new mechanical processing technology”.
The purpose of phase two is an analysis of the existing mechanical processing technology and revealing its imperfections. The following more typical activities were carried out in this phase: determination of the assortment of products; analysis of the route technology; analysis of the technological operations and operating modes; analysis of the technological and tooling equipment; analysis of the manufacturability and suitability of the design of the products with the development of a methodology for this purpose; analysis of the accuracy and quality of the manufactured products with the development of a methodology for this purpose; conclusions from the critical analysis of the existing technology.
To perform a comprehensive analysis of the existing technological process, 3D models of the products were developed using the Solidworks 2023 software product. An appropriate graphic illustration was made for the analysed activities in the form of graphics and photographs. Characteristic conclusions were formulated from the critical
analysis.
The goal of phase three is to develop a new technological process for large-sized welded hull structures. For this purpose, the following innovations are proposed:
• Shortening the technological cycle for machining.
• Achieving maximum concentration of operations with the unity of the technological, constructive and measuring bases.
• Providing the possibility of vertical machining of coaxial holes with a high degree of accuracy.
• Automation of the technological cycle in the machining of holes and individual passes during milling.
• Possibility of machining a larger assortment of products.
When developing the new technology, the following activities were carried out: development of a design task; design of route technological process options; analysis and selection of the optimal option; design and synchronization of operations; simulation of the technological process.
All tasks and activities set out in the report at stage one have been fully implemented. The results obtained are: a critical analysis of the existing technological process and a new technology developed for mechanical processing of large-sized welded metal structures intended for shipbuilding and the energy sector.
