ANALYSIS OF FLUIDIZED BED DRYING TECHNOLOGY FOR POWDER DETERGENT AT “FICOSOTA” LTD.
Abstract: The paper presents an analysis of the existing fluidized bed drying system for powder detergent at “Ficosota” Ltd., Shumen. The study focuses on the technological and energy aspects of the drying process, evaluating the performance of the current installation. The structural design, operating parameters, and energy balance are discussed, emphasizing the high energy demand characteristic of industrial fluidized dryers. Comparative observations between spray and fluidized drying technologies are made to determine their suitability for large-scale detergent production. The analysis identifies opportunities for energy optimization through automation, intelligent sensor control, frequency regulation of fans, and heat recovery from exhaust air. Implementing these measures is expected to improve energy efficiency, product quality, and environmental sustainability of the drying process.
