PORTS AND SPECIALIZED PORT FACILITIES
Abstract
The port, as a place where port services are provided, is a key factor in the development of river and sea carriage of goods. The Law on Maritime Spaces, Inland Waterways and Ports of the Republic of Bulgaria regulates the legal regime of ports. The paper states that the legislator puts in the term port a double meaning as a generic term and for the designation of each of the five types of ports: a public transport port, a fishing port, a yachting port, a special purpose port, a military, including border police port. The possibility of providing port services is directly related to the type of port, which is why a distinction is made between individual types of ports, as well as between them and specialized port facilities. The aim is to indicate the activities (including port services) that can be carried out in different types of ports and specialized port facilities.
Keywords
