ROAD SAFETY TRAINING AS PART OF THE PEDAGOGICAL INTERACTION ON ‘SURROUNDING WORLD’ IN KINDERGARTEN
Abstract
The foundations of the child's civic competencies as a full-fledged participant in road traffic, possessing specific knowledge, skills, and an attitude towards compliance with public rules and norms for personal and collective safety are laid at preschool age.
In connection with the above, this publication presents the main steps in familiarizing the students - future children's teachers with the organization and implementation, including activities, resources and materials, good practices, and the normative framework regulating education in preschool institutions. The goal is for learners to understand the need to train preschool children in ‘Road Safety’ to acquire lasting knowledge and build skills and habits for adequate behavior in traffic situations.
