“THE ONES BEFORE LAST” - THE FORGOTTEN STORIES ABOUT THE PIONEERS IN FILM INDUSTRY
Abstract
“Once, there was a car race between the Russian and the American cars. The American car won the competition without appeal. On the following day a short announcement appeared in the Russian press stating:”…the Russian car finished in second place and the American one was before the last.” This is a political joke my father told me many years ago but twisting the truth, changing the story and producing fake news is something even more common in our modern days. The paper reminds of people - visionaries, engineers, inventors and of their forgotten stories about hard work and high achievements that finished with lost trust and faith in humanity at the end. It focuses on specifics events that happened in the dawn of cinema and that really changed its course and developmend but the pioneers behind these attainments did not receive the attention they deserve but were buried in oblivion. Fortunately, sooner or later the truth comes out and the new technologies make this possible easier than ever. Can the movie history that gone wrong in the past be fixed once and for all now?
