Abstract

The paper presents some of the practical results of LCA Care project implemented in cooperation with universities and SMEs from Bulgaria, Germany, Lithuania, Portugal and Spain. The project is dedicated to the exploration of existing LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) methodologies and tools in order to identify and construct a prospective digital application that can be used by the SMEs in the agri-food sector in the listed countries. As a basis of the application serve the explored theoretical sources, the benchmarking of the existing LCA tools and standards as well as the results from a survey among representatives of 140 SMEs and 8 Design Thinking Workshops.
