THE CONCEPT OF MISSING BOUNDARY AND ITS LEXICAL REPRESENTATION IN BULGARIAN AND IN FRENCH

Abstract

The paper examines the lexical asymmetry between the French noun infini, the Bulgarian word безкрай and their synonyms by comparing original texts and their translated versions, supplemented with data on specific uses of the words and their salience. The results are part of a study of the concept "border" and its lexicalization in Bulgarian and French.
