METHODOLOGY FOR ASSESSING EMPLOYERS' OPINON ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE EDUCATIONAL PRODUCT (THE CASE OF UNIVERSITY OF RUSE)

Abstract

The quality of education is important issue, related directly with quality of workforce and competitiveness of economics in every country. If there is a relationship between the quality of life and level of technologies applied in industry than the quality of higher education is one of the main prerequisites for attractiveness of country as place for investments and living. Bulgarian legislation sets the main framework for quality standards in university education. Provision of funding for state higher schools is related with many criteria, referring to professional realization of students. Accreditation procedures which provide permission of every high school are related also high quality of educational process. One of main aspects of evaluation is correspondence of the educational product with employers’ requirements. The paper discusses one possible approach for evaluation of employers' opinion about the quality of the educational product at higher education which is a main precondition for constantly updating and adapting the educational process to the needs of the labour market. We propose a structure of questionnaire that can be extended and modified for the needs of every professional field. The example is applied at University of Ruse.
